On October 31, 2024, the China Afghanistan (Haian Hailaden) direct freight train resumed operation.

The direct freight service between China and Arab countries was launched in August 2016, providing assistance for expanding economic and trade exchanges and promoting connectivity between the two countries. This train starts from Hai'an Logistics Base in Nantong, leaves at Khorgos Port in Xinjiang, and finally arrives at Hailaton, Afghanistan.

The source of goods for the train covers Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong and other places, providing new logistics options for foreign trade enterprises in the surrounding areas to go global to Central Asia, and offering new opportunities for China and Arab countries to further expand economic and trade exchanges and deepen practical cooperation.
