First Train of Zhengzhou–Afghanistan Hairatan Service Arrives Smoothly

On the afternoon of June 29 local time in Afghanistan, a container train fully loaded with various textile products slowly pulled into Hairatan Station in Afghanistan. This marked the successful arrival of the first Zhengzhou–Afghanistan Hairatan international block train, which had recently departed from Zhengzhou Putian Central Station. The arrival signifies a further extension of Zhengzhou's international freight corridors and the successful addition of a new international logistics artery for the inland region of central China.

The inaugural train carried a total of 54 containers, mainly featuring superior textile products from Henan Province and its surrounding areas, with a cargo weight of approximately 1,700 tonnes and a total value of about US$2 million. The train traveled westward along the entire route, exiting China via the Horgos Port in Xinjiang and ultimately arriving directly at Hairatan, Afghanistan. This new route has opened a stable and efficient railway freight passage between the central hinterland of China and Afghanistan. Leveraging the advantages of rail transport—large capacity, reliable schedules, high safety, and comprehensive cost-effectiveness—the service effectively helps enterprises on both sides significantly reduce cross-border logistics costs, expand trade channels, and achieve complementary resource utilization and mutually beneficial cooperation.
